Programme Lead, Facilitator, Coach

“There is a moment when the client fully realises that their whole self is needed, valued and welcome – that is what inspires me about my work.”

About Julia

Julia’s background is in the arts. She has worked for over 40 years as an actor, director and producer. She is trained in Systemic and Family Constellations, using the techniques of mapping and embodied representing.

She has been a listening volunteer with the Samaritans, a UK based charity providing emotional support, for 20 years, so she brings first-hand experience of the power of listening. She has taken this collective knowledge into working with senior leadership teams in NHS hospices, and Mercedes-Benz, Daimler, Umicore, Sanofi and Saint-Gobain in the business sector.

Her work in theatre has informed her deep belief in the interconnectedness of our physical and emotional selves, and Julia believes that her work with OMA is a perfect synthesis of all her accumulated experience.

Julia says:

“When I am in flow, holding a room with a story, coaching a small group united in their intention, I feel I am in service to something greater than myself. Working with material that is so much older than we are, so jammed full of wisdom, be it Shakespeare, Grail myths, Archetypes, is a privilege, and when a client can see how their story relates to these stories, and what that can unlock in their professional (and personal) lives, it is both exhilarating and heart-warming, frankly.”

What does Julia especially bring to her work?

  • Unlocking personal and professional insight through compelling storytelling and reflection

  • Deep listening, creating a comfortable space to build trust and psychological safety

  • Drawing gentle attention to the body and the story it tells through grounding and breathing techniques

  • Enhancing leadership authenticity by encouraging the whole self to be present in the room

  • Having fun!
