“I love the emotional depth of our gifted OMA Delivery Team, how they narrate the stories and extract the leadership wisdoms, and how participants are so profoundly moved by this work. I see magical moments which surpass the 10 out of 10s on a happy sheet, like when at the end of a Henry V a client spontaneously ran up to one of our Programme Leads and threw her arms around them with appreciation and gratitude.”
About Mark
Mark is a classically trained actor who studied at the Drama Centre London. This was a method acting school with a fearsome reputation, thanks to its enigmatic principal Christopher Fettes, and movement director Yat Malmgren, with whom Mark studied Movement Psychology. Mark acted at the Royal Court Theatre and in BBC’s ‘Grange Hill’. He directed Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’ and adapted his own version of Victor Hugo’s ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’.
After becoming a father (his favourite role), Mark embarked on a career in management, leadership and learning and development. In the 1990s, as Training Manager for Clarks (Franchise Division), Mark first encountered Olivier Mythodrama. He was spellbound by the impact of a leadership development programme called ‘Power, Politics and Influence’, with wisdoms extracted from Shakespeare’s ‘Julius Caesar’. A seed was sown.
Now, after over 30 years in People, Leadership and Team Development, Mark works as Head of Partnerships & Impact (Archetypes at Work™) with Olivier Mythodrama. The seed has grown.

Mark says:
“Long ago I heard a phrase that has stuck with me: “Leadership begins with who you are”. Another favourite of mine, especially for people who think there’s no more to learn is: “There’s always room for improvement”.
I love the work I do with OMA because it brings together my experience on both sides of the fence. I’ve worked in the corporate world with Business Leaders, HR & Talent Directors, Learning & Development Professionals and Business Partners, so I understand things from the client’s perspective and how to translate development needs into empowering beliefs, mindsets, behaviours and outcomes.
One day you can find me designing a new Archetypal Leadership Profile, and on another I can be on site chatting with clients and supporting the delivery of one of our programmes. I believe that Archetypes at Work™ is the most dynamic leadership performance methodology out there.”
