Yolanda says:
“In my early years, education was a precious commodity that my hard-working parents had to go without food for and eventually migrate for us to obtain. I arrived in England in the early seventies into an education utopia where I learnt English in special classes with the very creative teacher ‘Ms Strange’, who taught us through games, play-acting and joy – it inspired the ten-year-old me to do the same and lit my fundamental belief that education is a human right and should be available to all. From then on whether working as an actor, director, presenter, coach or theatre practitioner, my purpose has been to share what I have learnt and make it easy for others to access. I am continually inspired by those moments when individuals connect with their deepest sense of self, discover the courage to express their truth, and embrace the possibilities available to them. Witnessing that transformation is what makes this work so meaningful to me.”
“I joined OMA because Shakespeare, mythology and archetypal psychology resonated deeply with the way I work as both an actor and a teacher. I am proud to bring this perspective into a field where it is rarely applied. This unique fusion of creativity, imagination and practical insight helps people open themselves to new possibilities in both their personal and professional lives. I am proud to be able to play a small part in that.”
“There have been many memorable OMA moments, although the personal and confidential nature of the work means I cannot comment in detail. Often, they involve a ‘light bulb’ moment for the client, when something truly lands and a physical, mental and emotional shift takes place, leading to a practical resolution. These moments can range from someone immediately blocking out dedicated family time in their diary during a work–life balance session, to recognising that delegating responsibilities and trusting their team's process would create greater efficiency and benefit everyone involved. In each case, the insight leads to tangible and lasting change.”
